Blogging Terms!

Before you start blogging, try to familiarize yourself with these blogging terms first.

Blog – can be used to refer to the blog site or to refer to the act of “blogging” — that is, to maintain a blog or post a blog article.

Blogging – is the act of maintaining a blog or posting an article in a blog.

Blogger – is a person who runs a blog or posts in a blog.

Blog feed – is a form of XML-based file produced by the blog software so that the contents of the blog may be “syndicated” for further distribution on the web.

Blog hopping – is when fellow blogger used to follow the links from one blog to another; basically, to jump or hop from blog to blog.

Blogroll – is a list of blog members. Bloggers usually place a blog roll in the sidebar of their blogs to show other blogs they like or frequently visit.

Categories –is a method of organizing blog entries by assigning each entry to a predetermined topic. Each category will link to a list of all entries with related content.

Comment – is a reaction or feedback to a blog entry posted by another blogger, usually located at the end of a blog article.

Permalink – is the Permanent link or the unique URL of a single post.

Post – is refers to the blog entry itself.

The Posts on your blog!

What are your  experiences in posting articles on your blog? Did you write posts that are originally written by you, or did you copy it from someone else? Or did someone copy your original contents? There are a lot of things to consider in posting articles, either it is unpaid or paid articles in your blog. First it should not be copyright and repeated; the posts must be unique and originally written by the bloggers or authors (that is you) with correct grammar and interesting contents.

However, if you do blogging today try to consider that the paid post or sponsored reviews on your blog must not be constantly followed by each fellow paid post, paid reviews must be written after unpaid post, mean the post must be varied between the blog  unpaid post and paid blog post, this is against of any advertising network terms and condition . I have been  an active blogger for about a year now and I am very happy that I'm a part of the blogging world, it is indeed fun and interesting, so if you have a blog/website you should monetize your blog and earn extra dollars, or if you don't have one make a new one and earn extra dollars by writing articles. Payingpost or blogadvertisingstore a scam? At First, I did not believe this statement - like other bloggers I eagerly forced to believe myself that this advertising network is a legit because as you can see they have a very attractive and seductive blog page (statement) regarding of their site, this site has recently changed their name from PAYINGPOST to BLOGADVERTISINGSTORE without informing bloggers. So if you are a newbie and you are reading some bad news or comments about this network then don't disregard it because you will regret at the end if you continuously adore this network. I was like you before - never listening, being deaf of what I've heard from the internet against this network because I still believed that they were not such. But, it was a big mistake you have no future on this network. They don't pay you on time, and those who have been paid they are just being lucky because they were not giving-up of fighting payingpost to pay them but it takes too long either, before they have got their payment (need to wait for months before they got paid). So, you as a newbie blogger or advertiser, be aware of this network, be cautious! If they solve this kind of problem maybe their name will be cleaned around the net but it seems they don't care about it, they are putting stain on their own business!!! It seems the the CEO of this network is a corrupt!!! So to all advertisers and bloggers stay away from this advertising network named PAYINGPOST or ADVERTISINGSTORE.COM, don't let yourself being captured by their dishonest and false statement or blog statement at their page, otherwise you will regret...

Error problems from SS

Have you been experiencing problems in Socialspark? Well, I have been experiencing trouble in Socialspark - one of this is the post review. After submitting post review to them and got an approval from my post I have been receiving problem on my post which is unreal (untrue), it says my post was rejected ( note, the post has already been approved for about a month) because there is no provided links inserted or other reason such as no disclosure badge displayed, I was like what? And when I checked my post articles the links are distinctly there as well as the disclosure badge. And so what I did - to be sure that I did not make mistakes, I installed again the links provided in the opportunity and the disclosure badge, but however it is still the same I keep receiving rejection messages, it says my post was rejected due to the absence of these requirements, and take note I had followed the instruction. I think they have a little problem in their system. I have already been sending them a ticket regarding this problem to be sure that everything is not "under my fault." I hope they could fix this kind of problem soon. I always love socialspark.

About Smorty Payment

I have noticed that smorty was paying me so late, which supposedly they are issuing payment after 1 week or 2 weeks ( the maximum period of time), and now I was surprised that they paid me after almost one month which is totally very unusual for them. The reason why I like smorty most because of the way how they issue the payment - they issue payment very fast, but this last campaign I have got from them - I was felt so impatient of the payment because they paid me very late instead of paying me after one week ago by the time the post was approved! And lately I have not received any campaigns from them anymore, I have a blog that has a page rank and it seems they prioritize the blogs that have a good highest rank. Well, their Opps are very limited too, if they displayed campaigns or opportunities in the marketplace you need to grab it right away because in less than 5 minutes the campaign will gone quickly, can you see how fast it is? It will gone shortly. So if you are not usually checking your smorty account - then you get nothing for sure.

Tips on switching widgets

In changing current webpage template to a new one, one thing will come to our mind is we don't want to lose the current widgets that we have got, we would like to keep it whatever changes we will be made in our template. Here are some tips to do to keep your widgets layout before to start replacing your current template to a new one.

From your current template, go to edit html page, and at the very bottom of the code of your html, you can see [/body][/html], simply put this code right there in this position [b:section id='widgets-placeholder' showaddelement='yes'/][/body][/html] , save it and then after placing the code, go back to your current webpage layout and move or drag all your layout widgets at the bottom section of the page where you can see a new add gadgets there, if you have done doing it click save and then go back to the edit html page again, at the bottom of [/body][/html] you can see a bunch of the code widgets look like this:

simply copy it all and here you go paste it all on your new template at the bottom of the page again before [/body][/html] and then after saving it all, go back to your new layout page and since all the widgets will be placed at the bottom of the page, now you can fix and drag it in the right place you want. Note this sign [] is same as <> as I replaced it to avoid error code of my post. Good luck!

The Holiday Is Over!

The weekend and Holiday is Over! And until now I am waiting with the response of one of the blogging networks regarding of my payout since I have reached the minimum amount of their payout policy, I am not saying that I am so haste or impatient, Of course I am patient but I am anxious to have it (LOL), I am anxious to receive the reward that I have been working hard on, the compensation  that I deserve the reward to the effort that I spent. Well, every blogger is always anxious or excited on the compensation of course, that is why they worked hard on it,and everyone needs money to survive, and no one in this world who don't need money in this time of recession (ha-ha). When do they pay me? Well, I am sure this week they will send it to me, the weekends and holidays are always been the reasons why the blogging networks provide a delayed payment to the bloggers, and I have always been experiencing this with all blogging networks, and sometimes they pay you in advance, too, which is also a good thing to be considered. Delayed payments is always happened and so the early payments. But even though the holiday is over we can still grab many opportunities or sales over the internet like these curtain rods and candle holders. So holiday is always in our heart (lol).

How to get back the Good Page Rank?

When your good page rank down, perhaps you can ask how could you get it back? I am asking this to myself a couple times, too, because my blogs that have PR 2 or PR 1 has been turned to Rank 0 (zero) with no excuses, it was so bad! I was working hard to get those Page ranks and later it was taken from me (huh), they took my Page rank after months and it felt me so sad because I did not know how to get it back, I have not received more offers for a long time after My blog turned to zero. There was a big changes when my blog had been turning to zero, your blogging business is no longer smooth as before, it was indeed boring.

But, guess what? One good news that surprised me today, one of my blogspot blog has been increased to PR2, from PR0 it goes to PR 2 and it's higher from what I have got before - this blog had only had PR1 before and it went down to PR0 and now it rises to PR2, yahooo!!!! It's a very big good news for me at all. Thanks that finally they recognized my effort of posting posts everyday and that they increase my page rank. Note: To all bloggers just posts articles everyday, update your blog, and post articles at least 200 words.

Waiting for Payout!

I am waiting for the payout from payingpost! Until now they have never issued me payment yet, every 1st day of the month is only their schedule of the payout, and it's weird if they are not going to issue payment today as this is only the schedule date of their payment, and what if you miss the day and they do not pay you? Do they pay you on some other time or next month even if you reached their minimum payout? OH! That would be a long time to wait then! Can you wait on that? Well, I don't think so...

I have noticed, too, that they are not active (to date) on the payment process unless if you are going to write them reminding about your payment, well it sounds disappointing and frustrating, isn't it? Because after a long time of waiting you are expecting that they could pay you as early as they could on the 1st day of the month. Have you ever experienced this before? I have experienced this two times, and it is very frustrating at all. Well, hopefully I could get the payout soon before the 1st day end (lol), that would be scary then if they extend or reschedule the payment again! That would be freaky (ha-ha).

Blogging rare in Weekend

I have noticed that there is no much offers/OPPS/reviews during weekend, usually it's rare if you get one during those days, weekend would be a perfect day to blog, we can usually have spare time during weekend because it is commomly the time off from work. Do you agree? And mostly they are giving OPP/offers/reviews in the morning during business days, the other network is unpredictable too. But I usually get OPP in the morning, afternoon is rare nor evening. So if you are working in a daytime you can't easily grab one or you can't have opporutnity to get more OPP because morning is usually their time to release OPP in the marketplace, do you agree with this? Well, this is what I have noticed in my own experienced. I am usually experiencing this one. So blogging is perfect for those who can access thier blog or work in their blog in the morning. Or it is really perfect for those at home and not working in daytime. Blogging is indeed fun!

My Page Rank

Guess what? I have just checked my other website’s page rank and unfortunately it goes down, I did not expect it to be happened. But one reason I suspect it’s because of my numerous paid posts made. I thought it will be going to up after weeks but my expectation does not happen, in fact I only had more than zero page rank for about a month, very sad. Hoping it would increase again soon. Have you experienced like this before? Now I learn a lesson, posting lots of paid post could affect your Google page rank, so I think you must have a ratio of 2:2 for paid post and unpaid post. So if you have the same problem like mine, the best thing we do is to make more unsponsored posts than paid posts, the more you have the more your Google index up. This way you can build more traffic!

The Opportunities Today!

Do you get many opportunities during these days? Well, lucky you, me I don't get much opportunities this time; it's pretty sad and boring. It seems my blogs are always not qualified because I have a lower page rank and the other blog has zero page rank. And sometimes they want you to be a member of their blogroll in order to get the opportunities, and I don't understand that idea. Because it seems socialspark has never looked for page rank but only for real rank and alexa rank.

Socialspark has always has opportunities with big amounts but I am not just qualified on it - very disappointing! They always have opportunities with big amount that I could never imagine. It's awesome If I could only grab on it!

Blog Late Updates

Since I have never updated my blogs for about weeks my page rank turns down to zero (PR0)- though three weeks is not really a long period of time ( it's just a short period of time) but since I missed it the traffic of my blogs have automatically down to zero, very disgusting! My Google index has gone to zero too. And my real rank decreases; I don't know how I am going to fix it or how to get my Page rank back again, I really don't know how to figure it out.

I have learned that your sites/blogs must be updated everyday and must to try to search in Google, yahoo,or any search engines to maintain your page rank. Now, my two sites have got a zero page rank, and zero google index and only have few visitors as well. I do hope that I can get my page rank back again because if not I would only get few offers otherwise.

Formatting a blogger template

How to make your blog format on blogger.com?
>First log in to your blogger account then click the dashboard at the top on the right side of your screen ,from the page choose layout and click edit HTML file displayed on the top, using your keyboard use Ctrl-F and find(type) "#main-wrapper{" under that you will see something like
width:500px;

You can change number to whatever number you want( the bigger number, the bigger space). But for more secure, you should download your template for back up just in case you screw up.
Furthermore, this is very minimal configuration, you will need to adjust the container if you would like to extent it, but if you will do adjustments make sure that the width will fit into your computer screen otherwise you will be having unreliable different dimension on your computer screen.

Now back to edit HTML page, you have an option to download a copy of your template to a text file on your hard drive. Do this if you are interested in customizations to your design, so that you can easily change or edit your template if you don't like that way it comes out and you can upload your same file again.

Now about your actual code on your template, you will see a regular HTML and CSS with lots of custom tags also that can make it compatible with drag-and-drop layout editor as well as the font and color picker. If you would like to have changes on your code, Read this first:

On the option "Expand Widget templates" By default, every page element is shown in the code as a single line plane placeholder, whose option can be set in the graphical interface on the page element. The code is simply at first but you could have more control on the second way, so be wise in which option you prefer to do.

At the bottom, you can see three buttons there it is for Clear Edits, Preview and Save Template that you can use what do you want to work for it. On the the hand, there are two links referring to your classic template, if you are changing your blog from old style of the Blogger Templates to the new layouts version, then your classic template whatever it is, is the last template you used in the old system, with your customizations. If the blog was created on the new system and has always used layout, so then your classic template is a default, classic version of the original design you chose when you created the blog, without customizations. Anyway there is different kind way in working your link , it has called View link, it will show you the code if you want to check or copy a part of it for your new design and the second is Revert link, it will erase all the customizations you have made in the layouts feature and set your blog to use the old style Blogger template again, In this Case you can't use the graphical Layouts interface in this mode, but you can convert it back to layout by then later.

A native speaker got to help me!

I’m glad that one of a native speaker (my friend) got to help me in posting; this is good news for me so far, but hopefully I could still give more time on it (blogging), I enjoyed blogging so much! it would have been more exciting since there’s someone who is willing to help me to proofread the grammatical errors of my reviews, and it would have been easier for me then… But sad to say I don’t know how much time I could give on this kind of job since I will be having a new job- maybe during in my spare time like during a night time or on my vacancy. Writing articles/reviews truly is helping me to improve my English grammar, and it is helping everyone to become a completely fluent on English indeed.

I am so thankful to this person who is willing to give his passion of helping me, and so on the future it would be helping me then and it would be easier for me, especially if I have a busy time. If that happen I will not spend many hours editng some articles because I got a help! Awesome!

Are you getting enough tasks?

Are you getting enough opportunities? I reserved many opportunities a couple weeks ago, but these recent days I got nothing (LOL), its rare this past few days; I will feel great if I receive or reserve more opportunities a day. But how I wish I could have a higher page rank and so I can get OPP more than I get per day. If you have a higher rank the more chances you will get offers, and more opportunities will be available to you. It’s tiresome to wait every day and you can only have few tasks and with small amount (weird).

Did you ask why until now your blog rank has not been increasing yet? Well, it’s confusing, either me I got confuse about the Google’s rule; I have got lots of Google index pages but now it’s not been increasing (even after three months or more). Weird! I am tired posting and no changes yet happening, so sad. What is your idea about this? Have you experienced the same? Did your blog rank have a higher rank? How did you do that? Please share…

The Blogging Status this Year

This week my blogging business is too slow (LOL); well, obviously blogging is begun slower this year, we’ve heard that the blogging before was rocking but due to the economic crisis it became slower today. Before it helped millions of people because most bloggers had gotten many opportunities with big amount; if it had happened today it would have been more challenging and encouraging to all bloggers, but unfortunately we have no fate this year (LOL).

So we better find a real job now (LOL); but we can still do blog during spare time, you will earn somehow though it’s not much but at least you get extra earning for your bills and etc (LOL). Apparently in a blogging world you need to spend much time in order to get many offers, so if you have a job you can hardly focus on it, and can’t able to get Opportunities. That is why it is perfect to those who are in home; like me (LOL).
