Artigos Relacionados:Holiday lights and market Dec. 11-13
In the tradition of Christmas markets held throughout Europe since the 14th century comes Atlanta's first annual Holiday Lights and Market in Grant Park, December 11-13. Sponsored by the Grant park Conservancy, the Holiday Lights and Market will feature live entertainment, sparkling lights, food, and an artist market.
The festival is held in cooperation with the 28th annual Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes (December 12-13), which is sponsored by St. Paul United Methodist church, the grant Park Parent Network, and the grant park cooperative preschool. The Holiday lights and market will serve as a unique destination for neighbors interested in purchasing holiday gifts or just looking to get into the spirit of the season.
Choirs, choral and instrumental groups will perform music of the season throughout the three-day event. Up to 100 artists will display an array of artwork, textiles, paintings, photography, and jewelry. Warm drinks, sweet and savory foods, and beer and wine will be on sale. The festival opens at 3:00 pm on Friday, December 11 and close at 9:00 pm. On Saturday, December 12, it opens at noon and closes at 10:00 pm. ON Sundays it opens again at noon and closes at 7:00 pm.

Artigos Relacionados:Thanksgiving in America!
Thanksgiving Day is an annual American Federal holiday to express thanks for one's material and spiritual possessions. Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday feast.
Generally, Thanksgiving Day, is a traditional North American holiday, which is a form of harvest festival. The date and whereabouts of the first Thanksgiving celebration is a topic of modest contention, though the earliest attested Thanksgiving celebration was on September 8, 1565 in what is now Saint Augustine, Florida. Despite scholarly research to the contrary, the traditional "first Thanksgiving" is venerated as having occurred at the site of Plymouth Plantation, in 1621.

Artigos Relacionados:GoodBye Halloween!
Have you enjoyed your Halloween? How was your Halloween and how was your Halloween holiday? So we will just say - goodbye Halloween season and see you on next year! One thing that I will miss during Halloween season is the Halloween parade (even sometimes I couldn't see an actual parade but at least I could watch it on TV), and I will also miss the horror movies that they showed on the television for a long period of time; ( you can watch horror movies within 1 month before the Halloween date comes), they showed horror movies straight in a whole month, it's indeed cool to me. But starting today it will be gone and I couldn't watch bunch of horror movies again (lol). And goodbye to trick or treat adventure, goodbye to Halloween parties, goodbye to Halloween food, and goodbye to Halloween season! And see you again on next year! In my hometown people there consider Halloween season as a sad season/time, why? Because during this period of time they are remembering their passed away loved ones, friends or relatives (people are usually graving), people usually went to a cemetery offer prayers or a mass for the peace of their souls.at Monday, November 02, 2009 0 comments
