Can you see clearly?

Can you see clearly (have 20/20 vision)? I have studied and read the driver's manual (driving lesson book) and according to the Law you need to have 20/20 vision to obtain a driving permit, is it true? First you need to take a written exam (knowledge test) and when you pass the test you need to take an actual driving exam (road test) again as a second and last test, and when you pass the road test you are now eligible to obtain a driver's license but you should have 20/20 vision - if you are not, you are advised to wear eyeglasses or contact lens to get the 20/20 vision. I have a friend who is currently taking a driving lesson and since she has a poor vision and I would glad to introduce her the affordable eyeglasses  from Zenni Optical.
