The Glenwood Park Farmers Market announces that they will now run every Sunday afternoon from 12:00pm-4:00pm until November 22. The every other saturday market is discontinued.
Shoppers can find farm fresh local and organic produce from Lyle Hill Farms, baked goods from east atlanta's hardright bakery, fresh milk from johnston's dairy, gourmet treats from the Mercantile, and artisanal cheeses from antico mercante. The market is held at Brasfield square in Glenwood Park but will be canceled if it's raining at 12:00pm starting time.
There are also great places to find gifts such as crochet crafts from GwenGoods, locally made electric jewelry, pottery painting, handmade cards and printed stationary, and delightfully scented candles that support autism awareness. Also grow, the new kid's shop and drop boutique, at 928 Garrett Street, is offering free kid's craft activities during the market.
The last market day this year will be a special thanksgiving market on November 22. One of the special features that day will be the Grant Park Provisions Company providing food-tastings and taking orders for their food delivery service's thanksgiving dinners.
There will also be a special Gift Fair at Brasfield Square on december 6, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Besides gift buying, santa will be on hand to have photos taken with kids, pets, and everyone who wants a photo with santa. After attending the market, all shoppers can receive a 15% discount on their market day lunch pr brunch at Vickery's, matador Cantina, and the shed at Glenwood. To receive the discount, shoppers should show the server their market purchase. It could be a great way to spend a sunday afternoon.
